Meet Our Lucky “Beach Days” Honeymoon Giveaway Winners Kelsey and Andrew

Congratulations to our lucky “Beach Days” Honeymoon Giveaway winners, Kelsey and Andrew from Littleton, CO.

Kelsey and Andrew have a very sweet story. They met in high school when she was a junior and he was a senior. Kelsey says she was really into “skater boys” during her teens and Andrew had the whole look, right down to his piercings. “He was everything my mom didn’t want me to bring home,” Kelsey says laughing.

Meeting when they were very young, Andrew and Kelsey have worked hard to make their relationship last, but Kesley notes that they’re a very strong couple. Shortly after leaving high school, just as Kelsey was about to go to college, the couple found out they were having a baby. “Andrew became a completely different man,” she says lovingly. Andrew gave up his piercings and got a job that brings in enough money for the three of them to live well, while Kelsey completes her schooling and looks after their now three-year-old son, Caleb.

About a year after Caleb was born, Andrew decided it was time to pop the question, even though they both always knew the other was “the one”. During their annual Christmas trip to Colorado Springs where Kesley’s family lives, Andrew got down on one knee in front of her entire family and proposed. “He’s super shy around my family, so I know it was hard for him,” Kesley says, adding, “It was really, really sweet. I know people say this a lot, but I truly am marrying my best friend.”

Of her wedding planning, Kelsey says that things are moving along, but she also sings the common Bride refrain of “I still have so much to do!” With their October 13 wedding just around the corner, winning this honeymoon certainly helps. She couldn’t believe it when she won, and she’s been pouring over her resort choices ever since. She leaning towards the Grand Wailea in Maui because, “it just looks so pretty!”
